Montgomery County deputy shot in Magnolia, sheriff’s office says

Officials said the deputies responded to calls of a man who fired shots at his neighbor just before 8 p.m. Thursday near Magnolia Hills Drive and Allyson Drive. One deputy was hit by pellets in the arm, leg and head, but he is expected to make a full recovery, officials said. As for the suspected shooter, the sheriff’s office said he is not in jail following an hours-long standoff.
Montgomery County deputies investigating 2 bodies found in apartment’s parking garage in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of two bodies in an apartment complex’s parking garage in The Woodlands. Deputies said the bodies of a man and woman were found on the third-floor parking garage of the Boardwalk at Town Center Apartments at 2203 Riva Row. But it unclear if the child was present at the time of the shooting or who she is related to the victims. She said she’s only lived at the complex for about five months and felt it was a quiet and safe place. The Montgomery County Sheriffs’ office said this was an ongoing investigation but did not comment on a possible motive or what may have led up to the shooting.
Burberry, Chanel items among high-end counterfeit items seized at The Woodlands Mall, deputies say
HOUSTON – High-end counterfeit items were seized at The Woodlands Mall on Dec. 1, according to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The counterfeit items include the following brands: Burberry, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Deputies said they were able to seize over 1,200 counterfeit items, including cellphone cases, watchbands, earbuds and numerous other items, which collectively were valued at over $32,000. Detectives obtained affidavits from several of the name-brand companies regarding the confirmation of the counterfeit items seized by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, according to deputies. Felony charges are expected to be filed with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Business owner shot, killed in robbery at Taqueria stand near Tomball
HOUSTON – A 37-year-old man was robbed, shot then killed on Sunday morning by two unknown suspects, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. at a Taqueria stand on FM 2978 and Carraway just north of Tomball. Investigators said the victim, whose name has not been released, was the business owner. The victim was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for an autopsy. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
Man accused of killing his roommate in Magnolia, deputies say
HOUSTON – A man is accused of killing his roommate in Magnolia, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested and charged the 28-year old suspect, Brian Guerrero, with murder. On Saturday, deputies responded to a welfare check on the 29800 block of Indiana Ave. A man told deputies that his male friend confessed that he had killed his roommate. The violent crimes unit responded and discovered the victim, a 28-year-old white male, deceased in a bedroom, according to deputies. Along with Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, detectives obtained a warrant for Guerrero’s arrest and placed him under custody for murder.
3-year-old boy dead after he accidentally shoots himself in the chest during birthday party
HOUSTON – A three-year-old boy died after he accidentally shot himself in the chest Saturday afternoon during a child’s birthday party in Porter, according to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the call around 4:15 p.m. to a call on the 23000 block of Owens Road. Family and friends at the party said they gathered to celebrate a child’s birthday, according to deputies. The child was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, deputies said. The child was rushed to a nearby fire station, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities search for man wanted in connection with deadly Magnolia shooting
MAGNOLIA, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they said a man was shot and killed in front of his daughter in Magnolia Wednesday night. Deputies said they are searching for 27-year-old Christopher Julian, who is accused of fatally shooting his friend, 29-year-old Samuel Schmitt. Deputies said he and the victim went to high school together and they believe he is still in the area. Christian academy teacher in The Woodlands accused of inappropriate relationship with female student
HOUSTON – A teacher at The Woodlands Christian Academy is accused of an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old female student, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities and school officials were notified of the accusations on Dec. 13, 2019. Cunningham was placed on administrative leave from the school, officials said in an email to parents. “The safety of our students is our top priority,” school officials wrote. Through training, policies and promoting a nurturing and professional culture at The Woodlands Christian Academy, our employees learn the high standards and expectations we have of them regarding their interactions with students.
