Stevens (8-2) pitched a season-high tying eight scoreless innings of three-hit ball, with only one of the hits leaving the infield. This is the fourth time Stevens hasn’t allowed a run during a start this season. Stevens has 213 strikeouts in his career, which ranks eighth in program history. This is the second TicketSmarter WAC Pitcher of the Week honor for Stevens and the fourth for UTRGV pitching this season.
