They said a vehicle following him stopped and two people exited the vehicle and shot him multiple times. Robersonโs business partner said the rapper will be remembered for playing basketball overseas in Colombia and being a community activist. Houston rapper and community activist Trae Tha Truth posted a picture of Roberson on his Instagram page, saying the rapper didnโt deserve what happened to him. HOUSTON โ The project focused on improving Shepherd Drive has been in the works a while and is actually part of all the work happening in the Upper Kirby District, aimed to revamp its major thoroughfares. If youโre wondering what Shepherd Drive will look like, just turn your attention to Westheimer Road, Kirby Drive, Bissonnet, and Eastside streets. These are a few of the completed projects in the Upper Kirby District. Houston FBI warns of economic espionage after shutdown of Chinese consulate
HOUSTON โ There is still no timetable as to when the United States may again allow China to resume operations at its now-shuttered consulate in the Montrose area. โI would have to say the amount of information that we got out of that consulate is extraordinary,โ said GOP Congressman Michael McCaul. โThey are targeting, I would say the Houston area particularly,โ said McCaul. โOf the nearly 5,000 active FBI counterintelligence cases currently underway across the country, almost half are related to China,โ FBI Director Christopher Wray said during a speech in July. Man shot at least 3 times during gathering at apartment in Montrose: HPD
HOUSTON โ A small gathering turned violent after police said a man was shot several times in Montrose Friday morning. Police said the incident happened at around 1:45 a.m. at an apartment on West Alabama and Garrot Street. According to officers, police found a man shot at least three times in the legs and arms. Witnesses said they were hanging out with friends when two of them who were both armed with pistols got into an argument. Police said the suspect, a man in his late teens, fired several shots and hit the victim, whose gun he took before getting away.

HOUSTON โ Nobieโs, an acclaimed restaurant in the Montrose area, announced that it would be temporarily closing after and employee tested positive for coronavirus. According to the social media post, the decision to close came after an employee began experiencing symptoms in recent days. The announcement said that the employee began showing symptoms on days when the restaurant is usually closed. โWe plan to sanitize and deep clean the entire restaurant and continue to monitor the symptoms of our team,โ the post said. No other staff members are currently experiencing symptoms, according to the post.
Beloved Montrose pizzeria Dolce Vita Pizzeria Enoteca set to close May 24
HOUSTON โ A longtime staple of Houstonโs restaurant scene is closing its doors later this month, according to Houston Food Finder. Dolce Vita Pizzeria Enoteca, located at 550 Westheimer in Houston, plans to serve their last pizza on May 24. โI have no idea what the plans are,โ he told Houston Food Finder. Dolce Vitaโs employees will move to Wilesโ other concepts, DeMarco Cucina E Vino and Vinoteca Poscol, both located on Westheimer, Houston Food Finder reported. Dolce Vita opened in January 2006, known for its neapolitan-style Italian food from artisan pizzas to pastas, their website said.

Houstonians will soon be able to get authentic New Orleans style seafood from an iconic French Quarter restaurant without having to take a road trip. Acme Oyster House, a popular New Orleans foodie destination, is headed to Houston. Houston Eater reports according to permit applications filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, 1201 Westheimer Road, formerly occupied by Tex-Mex restaurant El Real, will now be home to the New Orleans restaurant. โAcme has been very excited about entering the Houston market for a while now,โ says Grant Walker, the Lee & Associates broker who repped Acme Oyster House in the deal, according to Houston Eater. Due to the uncertainty as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, a set date for Acme Oyster Houseโs grand opening has not yet been announced.
