Motorcyclist dies after 3-vehicle crash on Highway 59 in Montrose

A motorcyclist died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 59 in Montrose on Sunday, according to the Houston Police Department. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – A motorcyclist died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 59 in Montrose on Sunday, according to the Houston Police Department.

The crash occurred on Highway 59 at Shepherd at approximately 12:10 a.m.

Officers arrived and learned that a motorcyclist had been traveling on Highway 59. They were in the left lane and a second vehicle was in the right lane.

The motorcyclist tried to exit the highway at the last minute and crashed into the other vehicle.

The motorcyclist was then thrown from their vehicle. A third vehicle also crashed into the motorcycle without a driver.

No other people were injured

This crash is under investigation.
