HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two suspects were arrested after a 19-year-old was fatally shot Saturday outside a northeast Harris County home, officials said. At approximately 2:29 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office responded to a shooting in the 16000 block of Coco Shores Court. Wood’s parents told investigators they heard several gunshots before Wood came inside the residence and told them he was shot. While on scene, deputies received a call that two men with gunshot wounds had been dropped off at Memorial Hermann Convenient Care, located at 1420 E Sam Houston Parkway. Womack and Briscoe are currently booked into the Harris County Jail.

HOUSTON – Two Houston Police officers were involved in a fatal crash Saturday that killed a 71-year-old man, according to officials. The collision occurred at the intersection of Ley Road and Darien Street in northeast Houston at 3:35 p.m.“It is unfortunate and tragic that the citizen, the other motorist, did not survive the crash,” said Assistant Chief Ben Tien, from HPD patrol Region 1. The two officers were driving westbound on Ley Road en route to a weapon disturbance call when the collision occurred. Witnesses told KPRC 2 the patrol vehicle did not have lights or sirens on at the time of the crash. “HPD is going to hold the file for some period of time longer than normal because of the fatality involved.

ANGLETON, Texas – A Brazoria County deputy was accidentally shot Friday at a gun range used by the Sheriff’s Office for training, officials said. According to Brazoria County officials, the deputy is a firearms instructor and he was shot in the stomach when a round accidentally discharged from a student’s weapon. Officials said the 30-year-old deputy suffered a deep flesh wound and was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening and he is in stable condition, officials said. The identity of the injured deputy was not immediately released.

EL CAMPO, Texas – Investigators are searching for evidence connected to an early morning shooting and house fire in El Campo. According to the El Campo Police Department, officers responded to the home near Olive and Taylor streets around 1 a.m. Friday in reference to a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found the home fully engulfed in flames and heard a woman screaming from inside. She was conscious but unable to talk.”The woman has been identified as 21-year-old Kaydra Sparks. El Campo Police Chief Terry Stanphill could not confirm the case is drug-related, however, he said his officers have responded to the home several times in the past for drug-related activity.

BAYTOWN, Texas – A man was gunned down late Monday night at a Baytown apartment complex. The shooting was reported about 11:15 p.m. at the Sterling Bay Apartments on Quail Hollow Drive near West Baker Road. According to Baytown police, 59-year-old David Lavigne was found in the door of his apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. HOUSTON – A man was hit by a truck and killed Monday night on the North Freeway, officials said. According to police, the man was trying to cross the freeway in 1200 block around 9:15 p.m. when he was hit by a Chevy Silverado in the southbound lanes. The woman driving the truck stopped to help the man, police said. He was taken to Memorial Hermann hospital, where he was pronounced dead. She is not expected to be charged.
