Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a home located in the 3800 block of Cochran around 1:50 a.m. According to officials, arriving crews located a single-family residence with heavy flames. Firefighters said they were told a resident that lived there had not made it out of the home. Firefighters said it took about 15-20 minutes to put the bulk of the flames out.

Firefighter injured while battling house fire in northwest Houston, officials say
HOUSTON โ A Houston firefighter is injured and others worked to put out a house fire in northwest Houston Tuesday, officials said. There was an electrical issue, which caused the insulation in the attic to start smoking, firefighters said. Firefighters said they shut off power to the house, pulled out the insulation and the family left. This time, the home was engulfed in flames, and firefighters did their best to put the blaze out. Officials said the injured firefighter is doing okay and was transported to the hospital to get his shoulder checked out.
Fire spreads, destroys multiple homes in northeast Harris County, firefighters say
HOUSTON โ Multiple homes were destroyed and have damage after a fire spread through a northeast Harris County community Monday, officials said. Eastex firefighters were called to the 5600 block of Mary Francis Drive around 11:50 p.m. for reports of a house fire. Officials said several single-story structures were caught on fire and there were no fire hydrants nearby. The blaze eventually spread to a neighborโs house, catching it on fire as well, officials said. I just built my wife a new kitchen, just finished it up, the back of my house is on fire,โ Robert Munsil said.
โHauntedโ house burns after body found in freezer
(NBC News) โ A South Carolina home where a body was found hidden in a freezer on Sunday has burned to the ground. Fire crews responded to Norway, South Carolina home Tuesday to find it reduced to a pile of smoking rubble. The group of eight people that were present when the body was found told police theyโd heard the abandoned home was haunted and were exploring the property when one of them opened a freezer on the back porch. โThese kids went in there Sunday night when it was dark, and then came back out and opened the freezer and there was a body,โ added. Phillips sold the property years ago but says the house has always had a haunted reputation in the Norway community.

The family said the fire started late Monday night in the second story of their home and quickly spread destroying everything. The Ekine family made it out alive, but there was a problem-- their furry family member was still inside. โThey believe there is one pet inside, so we are still searching for the pet,โ said Parrent. She lost hope, but then a firefighter approached her carrying a blanket, inside her beloved 8-year-old dog Oscar. Authorities said the Red Cross is now taking care of the Ekine family.
Roof collapses during fire at 2-story home in Spring, officials say
SPRING, Texas โ Firefighters are investigating a house fire in the Spring area Tuesday, Klein Fire Department Deputy Chief Reinkemeyer said. Fire crews said they responded to reports of a residential fire at around 1:40 a.m. in the 74000 block of Theisswood Road Tuesday morning. When they arrived at the scene, units located a two-story residence with heavy fire and smoke showing to the roof. Firefighters said parts of the roof collapsed in. At this time, Reinkemeyer said no injuries have been reported to firefighters and civilians.
