2 adults, 2 teens injured in house fire in southwest Houston, HFD says

HOUSTON – Four people are recovering in the hospital after escaping a house fire in southwest Houston Wednesday, officials with the Houston Fire Department said.

HFD responded to a report of a house on fire with people trapped inside in the 11400 block of Plumbrook around 2:20 a.m.

Firefighters said when they arrived at the scene, they found four people that self-evacuated from a home that was on fire.

According to firefighters, the four people, who consisted of two adults and two teens, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition. The patients were suffering from smoke inhalation and lacerations, HFD said.

Firefighters said there was moderate smoke showing from the house and crews were able to get the fire under control fairly quickly.

It is unclear where the fire started, investigators said. There is reportedly severe damage to the home and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

No firefighters were injured in the incident, officials said.
