Even though they look a little different, many people are starting to get their holiday shopping done. The FBI put out a list of tips that could help protect you from online scammers as you shop. Make sure the website is reputable before shopping or providing info like your credit card number. Be wary of social media posts (some posing as holiday promotions or contests) offering discounts, deals or free gifts cards/vouchers. Keep a close eye on your credit and bank statements to make sure no fraudulent charges are being made.
Racist letter targets Black Santa
(KARK/NBC News) โ An Arkansas manโs response to a racist letter he received after installing a Black Santa inflatable in his yard is going viral. Chris Kennedyโs excitement for the holidays is mirrored in his North Little Rock front yard. I want kids to smile.โWhat puts a smile on many peopleโs face is an 8-foot-tall Black Santa that canโt be missed. Then on Monday, Kennedy received a letter he called racist, in which someone posing as โSantaโ asked him to remove his Black SantaโPlease remove your [racial slur] Santa. You should not try to deceive children into believing that I am a [racial slur] the letter states.
