The National Weather Service has extended the flood watch for SE Texas through Sunday 7 PM.
Another round of storms for areas already underwater.
Additional 1-3″ of rain locally, but higher amounts of 4-8″ are possible in some areas.
We have the potential for two more rounds of thunderstorms Sunday.
The first round is expected to move through Sunday morning bringing lightning and heavy downpours starting at the 6-7 AM hour depending where you live.
We’ll start the day in the 70s and hit the lower 80s by 3 PM.
6 AM Sunday:
Watching areas near I-10 near Columbus and Katy
9 AM Sunday:
Watching area near I-10 from Katy to Beaumont and to the north.
4 PM Sunday:
The second round will move through Sunday afternoon with rain finally coming to end Sunday night. Keeping a close eye on areas near I-10 from Columbus to Winne.
6 PM on Sunday
Still tracking areas near I-10 from Columbus to Winne but radar looks better compared to 4pm hour.
