Thursday at 3:00 p.m. on Houston Life, we’re checking out a new place to hangout with friends or for a date night. It’s mini-golf for adults. It’s an immersive putting experience with a lounge feel, complete with fun food and craft cocktails. One of the courses is a swank library, another is a ski lodge. We’ll tour the other courses for you, Thursday at 3:00 p.m. on KPRC 2.

‘How you doin’?’: Texas brewery debuts ‘Friends’-themed beer
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Longtime fans of the hit TV show “Friends” will want to travel to this San Antonio brewery to try their newest beer that gives vibes of NYC. Islla Street Brewing, who also created the popular “Big Red” beer last year, is releasing a new flavor inspired by an ode to Rachel, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, and Chandler’s trips to “Central Perk Coffee Cafe”. The beer, named “Friends Toast,” is a coffee stout steeped with brioche, nutmeg, and finished with maple and Mexican vanilla, the brewery said on their Facebook page. The brewery said the beer will be available on their menu starting Monday.

HOUSTON – McDonald’s fans are rejoicing over the return of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst after it was pulled off the menu in 2017. Hi-C Orange Lavaburst will return to select McDonalds restaurants starting this week, and will be available nationwide this upcoming summer.
Coca-Cola releases coffee-infused drinks
HOUSTON – No need to add coffee to your Coke, new Coca-Cola coffee-infused drinks have dropped Tuesday at Houiston-area stores. The drinks come in three flavors: dark roast, vanilla, and caramel, and are infused with Brazilian-style coffee. They come with 69 milligrams of caffeine in a 12-ounce can, which is higher compared to 34 milligrams in a can of regular Coca-Cola. According to CNN, this isn’t the first time Coca-Cola released a coffee-infused drink. In 2006, the company came out with “Coca-Cola Blak”, which in 2008 the drink flopped due to low reviews.

Tesla made $250 tequila -- it’s sold out
If you’re hoping to add Elon Musk’s prized tequila to your collection, you might have to wait. Tesla’s new line of “Tesla Tequila” was launched on Thursday, a promise fulfilled by the CEO to start selling their own brand of liquor, CNN reported. Lightning-shaped bottles of Tequila -- priced at $250 each -- sold out on Thursday, even as orders were limited to two per customer and made available to certain U.S. states, CNN reported. This is not the first time Tesla has sold merchandise outside the car industry. There’s no word yet on when the tequila will be back in stock on the Tesla website.

Buy a beer, give back to Houston: Texas chefs brew up Karbach Pilsner to help restaurant workers
HOUSTON – Two renowned Texas chefs are joining forces with a Houston brewery to craft a special pilsner that allows you to give back to the community. Austin-based chef Aaron Franklin and Houston-based chef Chris Shepherd joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind beer with Karbach Brewing in hopes to bring something good out of 2020. The new beer, called Horseshoe Pilsner will benefit Southern Smoke Foundation, supporting food and beverage workers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, according to a release. Horseshoe Pilsner is “made to be the perfect palate cleanser” and is perfect to enjoy with Texas barbecue, said Franklin, who owns Franklin Barbecue in Austin.
