HOUSTON – Houston’s cocktail scene is always finding a new way to shake things up, and Starduster Lounge in the Heights is joining the fun.
Justin Ware, operations director for First Rodeo Hospitality, shows how to make two standout cocktails from the neighborhood bar — including its take on a passion fruit martini that’s been making waves on TikTok.
The Viral Passion Fruit Martini combines vodka, passion fruit, lime and vanilla, served with a side of dry sparkling wine.
Ware also showed us the Starduster Cowgirl, a more elevated take featuring vodka, clarified passion fruit, Lo-Fi sweet vermouth, vanilla and sparkling wine. The cocktail is carbonated and comes with a side of Starduster’s signature shot made with vodka, grapefruit, passion fruit and edible glitter.
Located in the Houston Heights, Starduster Lounge is a neighborhood cocktail bar with a West Texas-inspired menu and an agave-forward program featuring tequila, mezcal and sotol, along with whiskey and classic cocktails. The intimate bar has a horseshoe-shaped setup, while the spacious back patio offers plenty of seating for larger groups.
Starduster also offers non-alcoholic beers and cocktails. Guests of all ages are welcome until 7 p.m.; after that, the bar is strictly 21 and over.
