10 people injured in 2-vehicle crash in Fresno, authorities say
The Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Fresno. Officials said at least 10 people were injured. The crash was reported after 3 p.m. near Kansas and Pecan streets. Officials said four adults and four minors in an SUV were transported to the hospital. The two adults in the other vehicle involved were also taken to the hospital.

FBCSO detention officer admits to sexual contact with inmate, authorities say
RICHMOND, Texas โ A Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Department employee with more than four years of service is now charged with improper sexual relationship with an inmate. Authorities said Monday that Nathan Carr, 31 -- a FBCSO civilian detention officer -- was removed from contact with inmates on Jan. 7 around 12:45 p.m. after an inmate came forward and told a sheriffโs department employee about what was happening between Carr and another inmate. Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan said the gender of the victim has not been released and โshouldnโt matter,โ though added that the information would eventually be released. Fort Bend authorities said Carr was removed from contact with inmates and โadmitted to his inappropriate conductโ and was arrested on Saturday at 9 p.m. and was relieved of duty without pay. Improper sexual relationship with an inmate is punishable of up to 2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, Fagan said.

Children among those injured in crash in Fort Bend County
At least three people, including children, were injured in a crash Monday in Fort Bend County. The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. on Jeske Road and Roesler Road, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office. Authorities said the children involved in the crash were around the ages of 12 and 14. The kids and their mother were transported to a hospital via Air Med and a second Air Med is on the scene, authorities said. Authorities have not given details on what may have caused the crash, the extent of the injuries of it there are any fatalities.
2 children airlifted to hospital with critical injuries after 3-car pileup on Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road
HOUSTON โ Two children, ages 4 and 10, were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition after a major three-vehicle wreck on the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road Tuesday evening, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office. Three adults were also taken to the hospital with injuries, officials said. The wreck was first reported at 6:11 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road near Farm-to-Market 2234, officials said. Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable Trever Nehls said the parents of the children were driving in the right-most northbound lane behind a relativeโs vehicle that had a flat tire. The northbound lanes of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road were closed for several hours as officials investigated.
Former Fort Bend County sheriffโs deputy charged in death of deputy constable
HOUSTON โ A former Fort Bend County sheriffโs deputy has been charged with criminal negligent homicide in the shooting death of a 37-year-old deputy constable in the Sienna Plantation area of Missouri City in May. Chadwick Devin McRae, 49, of Stafford, is charged in the death of Caleb Rule, records show. The Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office released a statement about McRae, saying he was terminated following an internal investigation due to violation of the officeโs Use of Force Policy as it related to Ruleโs death. โThis situation is tragic,โ Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian M. Middleton said. And the death of Deputy Rule, who was on duty serving his community at the time of his death, is an unbearable loss for his wife, children, and extended family.โThe Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office referred questions to the Texas Rangers, as the lead investigative agency, and the Fort Bend County District Attorneyโs Office.

Woman given 50% survival chance after being thrown off vehicle; driver arrested
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office, the driver identified as 49-year-old Watts Vaughan said he was visiting the woman, who is his acquaintance. Deputies said he refused to let the woman borrow $10, and when he started to drive away, the woman jumped on his hood. Vaughan continued to drive away and at one point took a sharp left turn, and the woman was thrown off his vehicle. In the video, a black SUV is seen traveling down Morton League Road with the woman on the hood. Investigators said Vaughan admitted to making that turn to throw the woman off the hood of the SUV.
