Missing 5-year-old boy in Fort Bend County (KPRC2/Click2Houston.com)
FORT BEND COUNTY – A 5-year-old boy who was the subject of an AMBER Alert in Fort Bend County has been found dead, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified the child as Eddie Hall.
Deputies said Eddie was found in a lake just north of his home near Tamaron Trace and Tamaron Parkway in Katy.
Authorities said there are no apparent signs of foul play, but the investigation remains ongoing.
The discovery comes after an AMBER Alert was issued for the child, prompting an extensive search by law enforcement and emergency crews.
Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Eddie’s death or what led to the AMBER Alert.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.
