Houston police are investigating after a person was found unconscious near a bayou in east Houston Monday morning
According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded around 7:10 a.m. to the 7200 block of J.W. Peavy Drive after receiving a report of an unconscious person.
Police said the individual was found on the edge of the bayou near 7220 J.W. Peavy Drive.
Houston police confirmed that homicide investigators are responding to the scene, though officials have not said what led to the investigation.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
