Daughter finds mother shot to death inside Fort Bend County home

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was found shot to death inside her home early Monday morning.

The sheriff’s office said they received a 911 call about a woman dead inside a home in the 9300 block of Spindlewood at approximately 3 a.m. Monday.

When deputies arrived, they found a 38-year-old woman, identified as Coralyn Vershae Hunt, dead inside the home. Three of her children were also found inside the home uninjured.

The sheriff’s office said Hunt was found by her 17-year-old daughter. She reportedly had been shot to death.

Right now, it is unclear if there are any suspects in the case, but the sheriff’s office said they are investigating it as a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
