RICHMOND, Texas – The search for a missing 13-year-old boy with a “medical history” that was reportedly last seen in Richmond Sunday has ended after the teen was found safe in southwest Houston Tuesday, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said Shaquan Burns was last seen Sunday wearing a tie-dye hoodie as pictured, black shoes, and carrying a brown backpack.

The teen was located by an off-duty deputy from Harris County Precinct 7 who observed him Tuesday morning in the 9900 block of South Main Street, FBCSO said.

While FBCSO said there was no indication of foul play reported, deputies were concerned since the teen reportedly has a “medical history.”

“We appreciate all the support from our first responder partners in the search for Shaquan. He appears to be in good physical health and is undergoing further evaluation,” a public information officer with FBCSO said. “We also thank our community for helping spread the word. In cases such as a missing person, time is of the essence.”
