Pasadena firefighter injured after being pinned between 2 trucks, officials say
PASADENA, Texas โ A Pasadena firefighter is in the hospital after he was pinned in between two trucks while responding to an apartment fire, officials said. Police said the incident happened in the 4200 block of Fairmont Parkway when firefighters were called to a fire after a man fell asleep while cooking. Officials said the blaze damaged one apartment and residents were able to get out, but a firefighter was pinned in between two trucks when one rolled forward. Officials said the firefighter was conscious after the incident and was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Check back for updates.
Firefighter and resident injured as blaze spreads through N. Harris County apartment complex: Officials
HOUSTON โ Families at a north Harris County apartment complex rushed to escape a raging fire. Officials said one firefighter and a resident were injured in the fire. Officials said they battled the blaze at Capwood Apartments on Aldine Mail Route and JFK Boulevard at around 3:26 a.m. Firefighters worked to put out the fire for nearly an hour, officials said. Officials said the injured firefighter and resident were treated on the scene and released.
Woman found dead as HFD responds to apartment fire in NW Houston, officials say
HOUSTON โ A woman was found dead after the Houston Fire Department responded to an apartment fire Wednesday in northwest Houston, officials said. The fire was detected to be coming from a first-floor apartment, officials said. When firefighters entered the apartment, they found the woman dead on a burning couch and immediately pulled her outside, but it is unclear if the cause of death was due to the fire or something else. Relatives identified her as Verma Moore, 67. The cause of the fire is under investigation by HFD Arson investigators while HPD Homicide detectives try to determine exactly how Moore died.
