Man pleads guilty to leaving dead animals on former neighbor’s headstone
– A 79-year-old man pleaded guilty to leaving dead animals on the grave of his former neighbor, NBC4 reports. According to the report, Joseph Stroud was accused of causing more than $2,500 in damages to a former neighbor’s headstone by staining it with the blood of more than a dozen dead animals. NBC4 reports that the granddaughter of the deceased contacted police in July after she and her family began finding dead animals on her grandfather’s grave two months prior. According to NBC4, Stroud was arrested in August after he was caught on surveillance video placing dead animals on the headstone and charged with defacing objects of public respect. He must also surrender his driver’s license due to his mental health and will pay more than $2,500 in victim restitution, according to NBC4.

Ron Tims said he checked his mail Wednesday and found a voter registration application addressed to Cody Tims — his cat, who died 12 years ago. “There’s a huge push but if they’re trying to register cats, I’m not sure who else they’re trying to register. I’m not sure if they’re trying to register dogs, mice, snakes,” Carol Tims said. The Secretary of State’s Office said the application did not come from its office and that third-party groups often use mailing lists to get names and addresses. “Third-party groups all over the country are targeting Georgia to help register qualified individuals,” the Secretary of State’s Office said in a statement.

A dinosaurs last meal: A 110 million-year-old dinosaurs stomach contents are revealed
The fossil was unveiled after museum technician Mark Mitchell dedicated six years to painstakingly revealing the dinosaur's preserved skin and bones from the marine rock in which it was encased. But it lived off of plants and favored ferns, based on the contents of its stomach. The researchers compared the contents of its stomach with fossil leaf studies from the same time period and region. The preservation of the plant material in its stomach suggested that the dinosaur died and was buried soon after eating. Gizzard stones, much like those swallowed by birds to help with digestion, were also found in the dinosaur's stomach.

Uber driver charged with kidnapping after passengers livestream chase
An Uber driver in Virginia has been charged after police say he attempted to chase down someone who hit his car -- without letting his passengers out. Richmond Police have charged Olufemi S. Olomola, 38, with two counts of abduction, reckless driving, and felony hit and run. Murray says their driver, who he identified as Olomola, picked them up outside their home. Murray and Swann are discussing the accident, and their driver hands his phone to Swann to talk to 911. For the next four minutes, the video shows their driver run through red lights and stop signs while the couple pleads with the driver to stop.

BRADENTON, Fla. – Florida police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a criminal who has a thing for toes. Actually, more to the point: Sucking on said toes. A Bradenton man sound asleep in the early morning hours on Dec. 24 awoke to find a stranger sucking on his toes. According to the police report, the man’s toes were in the stranger’s mouth when he was awakened from his slumber. During the melee, the toe-sucking suspect claimed to have a gun and tried to fondle the victim’s “genital area," according to The Smoking Gun.

A 12-foot, 4-inch long great white shark that researchers have named Ironbound has been tracked to the waters south of Key Biscayne, near Miami. The adult male shark weighs 998 pounds, according to the group OCEARCH, which tagged and is tracking the shark. OCEARCH said that seven of its tagged sharks have pinged with their location in recent days. Ironbound is the farthest south and a sub-adult male named Shaw is the farthest north. Great white sharks are the world's largest predatory fish, according to the World Wildlife Federation, and are known to rip bite-sized chunks out of their prey which are swallowed whole.

Good Samaritans pull couple from sinking van as it’s swallowed by sinkhole
(WESH/NBC News) Two people were pulled from a minivan as it sank into a sinkhole caused by a water main break in The Villages, Florida Thursday. The minivan was being sucked further and further into the hole when Good Samaritans helped rescue the two people inside. Luckily, no one was hurt. Dave Harris, who lives nearby, said his wife drove by the spot just moments before the van fell into the road. “Came back outside and the van was coming and *clunk* I could hear it scraping,” Harris said.

Woman takes carjacking suspect on wild ride outside her vehicle
WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A Florida woman says she's still shaking after a man tried to climb through the driver's side window of her moving car on a busy highway. Tracey Barnes called police to report the carjacking as it was happening Sunday in Wesley Chapel. She can be heard in the 911 call telling a dispatcher, "I have a man hanging onto my moving vehicle right now." Barnes says 21-year-old Yosmin Amaya stepped in front of her car and waved his hands for help. He grabbed a hold of my window and reached in and touched me and said, 'I need your car, I need your car right now,'" Barnes said.
Baby named Frankenstein born on Halloween
Their baby, Oskar Gray Frankenstein, was born at Winter Park Memorial Hospital at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday. Kyle and Jessica Frankenstein were planning to welcome their baby boy into the world Saturday, but grandmother Jennifer Frankenstein said her family had a suspicion that little Oskar's birth would coincide with the holiday. "He was due four days ago and he decided to wait until Halloween,” Jennifer Frankenstein said. Jennifer Frankenstein said Oskar is her first grandchild and the first with her namesake born on Halloween, although she does have a 13-year-old daughter who shares the same birthday as "Frankenstein" author Mary Shelley. “Everybody’s safe and sound and we’re super excited,” Jennifer Frankenstein said.
