2 break into Houston museum, lead police on boat chase and escape through storm drain
HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a break-in and getaway that sounds like something out of a movie. Police are searching for two introducers who broke into an art museum and used a motorboat to escape. The incident occurred at the Bayou Bend Museum on Memorial Drive around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night. “I’ve seen alligators in this creek and snakes and stuff that’s risking it right there,” resident Matthew McElroy said. The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, which runs the Bayou Bend Museum, said no one was harmed and no works of art were damaged.
Homeowner shoots, kills truck burglar in southeast Houston, police say
HOUSTON – A man was shot to death after police said he was caught breaking into someone’s vehicle in southeast Houston Wednesday. Police said the shooting happened at a home in the 800 block of Marleen Street around 8:30 p.m.Investigators said the alleged burglar removed some things from the truck. That’s when the homeowner came out and shot him, according to police. Police said the man was struck once and died at the scene. Investigators said a grand jury will determine if charges will be filed.

HPD searching for man who broke into business, stole cash and liquor
HOUSTON A man is accused of burglarizing a business on the 6800 block of Airline Drive in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. The suspect entered the business on July 18 at around 2:26 a.m., according to video surveillance. Once inside, the man stole cash that was in a jar and liquor bottles from the business. He was also wearing a white baseball hat, black t-shirt, black shorts and shoes.
