Authorities say the homeowners became suspicious when they returned home and noticed an unknown vehicle parked in their driveway. When they investigated, they met an intruder, who was in the process of stealing property from their garage.

The robber then held them at gunpoint and begged them not to call the police. He even told them he would return the property he had stolen earlier the same night.

Law enforcement quickly arrived and arrested Omar Valez, charging him with Burglary of a Habitation and Aggravated Robbery.

Velez’s bond and court information are not available at this time, according to police.
