HOUSTON - A suspected drunken driver has been arrested and accused of hitting three separate vehicles near the 10100 block of the Gulf Freeway. Police said the driver hit all three vehicles in a nine-block span but refused to stop and render aid. The driver was arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid and will be tested for DWI. I don't really think she's really hurt, but we just wanted her to go into the ambulance so they could make sure she's OK," Allen said. Police said a few others were checked out at the scene but everyone is expected to be OK.

HOUSTON - A 12-year-old boy was wounded during a shooting in Houston on Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department. Around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, a family was driving northbound on Gulf Freeway near Edgebrook Drive when another vehicle pulled up next to them and someone inside fired into the car, shooting the 12-year-old boy in the leg, police said. Paramedics transported the boy to a nearby hospital. Police are searching for a red sedan in connection with the shooting. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

The crash was reported about 2 p.m. on the southbound side of the Interstate 45 Gulf Freeway feeder road near Howard Drive. James Dale, of the Houston Police Department, said the woman had gotten into an undercover officers car in a parking lot while authorities were investigating a prostitution complaint. Dale said the woman jumped out of the officers car before the officer had a chance to identify himself and began running across the feeder road. Officers tried to stop traffic, but she was hit by two vehicles and suffered serious injuries, Dale said.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man screamed out, "I'm sorry, bro," moments after a security guard shot him in the leg.The shooting happened Monday around 11 a.m. near Fresh Ink Tattoo & Piercing at 10716 Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston.HPD detectives told ABC13 the injured man is an accused robber. When he ran out with money, the game room's guard went after him and opened fire. "The suspect was able to get into his vehicle and fled the scene," said Det. "Robertson said the man drove himself to the hospital, where detectives caught up with him.He said criminal charges against him are pending. The suspect, who has not yet been identified, is currently wanted on outstanding warrants in Texas and Louisiana.

The journey is expected to take four nights to complete.Ronny Smith, owner of Smith Specialized Logistics, says as far as he knows, this is one of the biggest moves by truck and height ever undertaken in the Houston area. All lanes of the freeway will be shut down between Bay Area Boulevard and NASA Parkway. A section of NASA Parkway will also be closed while the tractor-trailers are in the area.Some neighborhoods may temporarily lose power since crews have to remove or relocate power lines to accommodate the big haul.Once the crates arrive at the Bayport Cruise Terminal, they will be loaded onto a specialized ship bound for Korea. That trip will take approximately one month.
