Worker dead after boom truck collapses on I-45 in Dickinson

DICKINSON, Texas – A worker was killed when a boom truck collapsed on top of him in a construction zone on I-45 in Dickinson Tuesday.
The accident happened in the 3400 block of the Gulf Freeway, near FM 517.
Dickinson Police say they received a 911 call about the accident at 1:54 p.m.
First responders rushed to the scene, but the worker was dead when they arrived.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident and how it happened.
