Ibraheem Ahmed Al Bayati, 19, faces the federal charges of making threats or conveying false information to destroy by means of fire or explosives and making a threat over interstate commerce. Al Bayati was taken into custody on Friday after the criminal complaint was filed. According to a press release, Al Bayati identified himself as Abu Qital al Jihadi al Mansur and joined a UH student lecture on Zoom on Sept. 2. In the release, officials said Al Bayatis reference about the Islamic State is a reference associated with the terrorist group ISIS.

There were questions about the business, personal questions for the anchors, and one question that made Jerry Martin blush and everyone else burst into laughter. KPRC 2 posted the notification about the Ask 2 Live chat on its Facebook page; anchors shared on their own pages as well. Jack and Mariah McElligott said theyโ€™ve already had been through a lot -- planning a wedding, only to be pummeled by a pandemic. โ€œSo, we found this out the day before the 28th when we were supposed to get married,โ€ Mariah said. "Yeah, the day before weโ€™re supposed to get married we found out we had to be quarantined for 14 days,โ€ Jack said. โ€œWe probably had about a hundred, Iโ€™d say, two thirds of our wedding participants on Zoom, which was really cool, you know?โ€ Mariah said.
