The Woodlands Township Labor Day Drive-In Fireworks DisplayOn Sunday, Sept. 6, a seven-minute fireworks display will be launched from the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines drives at 8:55 p.m. and streamed on the townshipโs Facebook page and the Visit the Woodlands Facebook page. Parking areas designated for the event include various locations at The Woodlands Mall, Market Street and the Gold Lot at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Kings Harbor Labor Day Celebration & FireworksKings Harbor Waterfront Village in Kingwood will host a concert and fireworks show on Sunday, Sept. 6. 9 arrested in connection with date-rape drug trafficking operation based in Texas firework stand, officials say
NEDERLAND, Texas โ Nine people have been taken into custody in connection with a drug trafficking operation based out of Nederland, Texas, according to U.S. Attorney Stephen Cox. According to court documents, the group is believed to be the head of a drug trafficking organization operating on a national scale. However, when ingested, BDO metabolizes into GHB, a common date-rape drug, court documents showed. Purchases could be made from Jakeโs Fireworks either in person or online, according to court documents. Proceeds from the trafficking amounted to over $1 million, which were laundered through several now-seized bank and retirement accounts throughout southeast Texas, according to the release.
Over 300 firefighters quarantined; HFD chief asks people to skip fireworks due to staffing strain
HOUSTON โ The coronavirus is adding strain to the Houston Fire Department, according to a news release. More than 300 Houston firefighters are in quarantine because of potential exposure to COVID-19, according to the release. โThe number of firefighters unavailable to report for duty further reduces the availability of personnel and creates an extreme strain on the department,โ the release said. โWe will respond when called, but I also encourage citizens to help us by following health and safety protocols during the current public health crisis,โ Peรฑa said. Do not use fireworks during the July 4th holiday weekend because they can cause fires and create an additional strain on our resources.โ

HOUSTON โ Officials informed Houston residents on how to stay safe ahead of the Fourth of July weekend. The Houston Fire Department Fire Marshalโs Office held a news conference at 10 a.m. regarding fireworks. During that conference, people were reminded that fireworks are dangerous and illegal to use within city limits and some parts of Harris County. Fireworks sales begin in Texas on Wednesday
HOUSTON โ 'Tis the season for fireworks. Wednesday is the first day of fireworks sales for the Fourth of July season. โWe have a wide variety of products for everything you want to do,โ said Sue Davis, who works at one of the Top Dog locations. โIf youโre going to have a big show with everybody, wear your mask, social-distance, wash your hands, be safe,โ Davis said. The last day to buy fireworks is midnight, July 4th.

HOUSTON โ A Houston man was outside admiring the fireworks display on New Yearโs Eve when he was hit in the wrist by celebratory gunfire. โI was right here standing outside my car,โ Roberto Carlos said in Spanish. โAnd it just fell from the sky.โCarlosโs roommate, Paul Moreno, was standing next to him at the time. John Shannon said the Harris County Sheriffโs Office received many calls about celebratory gunfire on New Yearโs Eve. โDespite repeated warnings against celebratory gunfire, this is something that goes on and is unacceptable,โ Shannon said.
