The scarred teen says she was stabbed with a pocket knife several times by another student during a fight. Her mom added that the school nurse failed to call EMS for the girl's injuries, and instead put alcohol on the child's open wounds.
Student whose dorm room was stormed by SFA police files lawsuit
HOUSTON โ A Houston student whose dorm room at Stephen F. Austin State University was stormed last year has filed a civil rights lawsuit against the school and her former roommates. Investigators said officers barged into Christin Evansโ dorm room on Sept. 14, 2020, after campus police received a call from the community advisor at the dorm, saying a student was threatening to stab another student with scissors and may have been experiencing a manic episode. Police said officers responded accordingly but changed their posture once they realized Evans was asleep in her room when they entered. In the lawsuit filed Monday, Evans accused the school and others of violating her right to due process and equal protection, negligence and gross negligence. Local UT student wins $10,000 from Chipotle TikTok challenge
HOUSTON โ A University of Texas student from Houston won $10,000 from Chipotle for a TikTok video. Faith Bang shared her customized order on TikTok, apart from the social media campaign โChipotle Royalty,โ featuring the item on the restaurantโs digital menu. In the TikTok video, Bang illustrated that she spent the last $8 of the $12 in her checking account on a burrito bowl. Her go-to order, dubbed the Bang Bowl, includes carnitas, ยฝ white rice, ยฝ brown rice, fajitas, fresh tomato salsa, extra roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese, lettuce and tortilla on the side. Glover Elementary School student nearly abducted after getting off bus, school says
HOUSTON โ A Glover Elementary School student was nearly abducted Thursday afternoon after getting off the school bus, according to school officials. Fort Bend Independent School District police are investigating after school officials were alerted about the incident. School officials said the incident happened as the student walked home after exiting the bus in the Quail Run Subdivision and a middle-aged man approached the girl. Officials said the student reported that the man asked her to go for a walk with him and reached for her. School officials said the student involved was not physically harmed in the incident.

Girl soccer star takes kicking talents to football field
ALVIN, Texas โ An Alvin High School student is getting a lot of attention for bringing her soccer talents to the football field. Erin Webster was the kicker for Alvin's varsity football team in the Yellowjackets' 50-14 win over Pasadena on Friday. Webster tore her ACL in May and recently recovered from surgery. Webster is a standout on the soccer field. She is a three-time varsity Letterman and has received multiple scholarship offers.
