Water main break underway in downtown Houston, deputies say
HOUSTON โ Precinct 6 Harris County constable deputies are investigating what led up to a water main break near downtown Tuesday. Deputies said the water main break happened around 5 a.m. on Hutchins Street near Polk Street. Water main break at Hutchins and Polk that may cause road flooding. It is currently unknown what caused the water main break. Houston police have asked drivers to avoid the area since the water main break may cause flooding.
LBJ Hospital diverting new patients to other facilities after water main break
HOUSTON โ A water main break at LBJ Hospital is causing some issues. Officials said there was an issue with an external mainline. LBJ Hospital is under diversion, which means they are not accepting new patients. Ambulances are being diverted to other facilities as crews work to fix the issue. It is unknown how long those repairs may take, but officials said they expect crews will be working through the night.

Water main break causes flooded roads in League City, police say
LEAGUE CITY, Texas โ Flooded roads are causing drivers to take different routes after a water main Tuesday afternoon in League City, according to police. Construction workers struck the water main in the 1600 block of West League City Parkway just west of Interstate-45. Officials said there is water on the roads and asked drivers to take precautions when traveling in that area. Workings are currently repairing the line. It is unknown how long those repairs will take.
UPDATE: Boil water notice lifted for area in northwest Harris County after water main break
HOUSTON โ Friday Update: The boil water notice that was issued Wednesday for some people in northwest Harris County due to a water main break, has been lifted Friday evening, officials announced in a news release. โThe public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requries boiling prior to use as of today,โ officials wrote. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required that the Harris County MUD 434 public water system announce that it had been put under a boil water notice.
