HOUSTON โ Four people are hurt after a string of shootings broke out just minutes apart from each other in northwest Houston Tuesday, police said. Police said three men and a woman were found shot at the three different nearby locations-- Stallings Drive near Genemuary Street, Stallings Drive near Whitehead Street, and Beckley Street near Ellington Street. Investigators said they are still trying to determine if all three shootings are connected. The first man told officers he was shot in the leg by someone who sprayed his house with bullets. Police said a third man crashed his car into a ditch at some point after he was shot in the neck.

A church and an attached residence were engulfed in flames Thursday night in north Houston, according to Harris County Sheriffโs Office. HOUSTON โ A North Houston church and attached home were damaged by a fire Thursday night and investigators believe it was started by homeless individuals trying to stay warm. First responders arrived around 10 p.m. to find the Emmanuel Deliverance Temple in the 4700 block of Littlecrest burning. Assistance was requested of the Harris County Fire Marshalโs Office whose investigators determined the fire began as a warming fire which got out of control. Local hospitals prepare for Moderna vaccine
HOUSTON โ Twenty locations in Texas are receiving shipments of the Moderna vaccine Monday, according to state health officials. United Memorial Medical Center in North Houston and CHI St. Lukes Health Brazosport in Lake Jackson are included. Other facilities are preparing for their shipments this week, including OakBend Medical Center in Richmond. OakBend is set to receive 1,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine on Thursday or Friday. Shipments of the Moderna vaccine started rolling out Sunday and vaccinations will begin Monday at facilities nationwide.
10-year-old boy thwarts home intruder, says his family has seen suspect before

Gutierrez said the same man drove into their driveway Saturday night shortly before midnight and asked for someone who doesnโt live here. The surveillance video shows him spending several minutes on the property. โBecause you could hear the panic.โVideo shows the man hightail it from the driveway in a car. They donโt know where he wound up but the family wants the police to find him.

Manโs body found inside burning car in parking lot of N. Houston apartment complex, police say
HOUSTON โ Houston police are investigating after they said a manโs body was found inside of a burning car in north Houston. Police said the Houston Fire Department responded to a car fire in the 4600 block of Werner Street. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters said they located the vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot. When firefighters said they saw the manโs body in the back of the vehicle, they called police. At this time, investigators said they are not sure if the vehicle was stolen or if it belongs to the victim.
Authorities identify, arrest man in connection with shooting at family-friendly dance
HOUSTON โ A man has been charged after a family-friendly dance was interrupted by gunfire Sunday night in north Harris County, according to Harris County Sheriffโs Office. A 30-year-old man was shot in the thigh, sheriffโs deputies said. The bullet went through his leg and struck the ground, according to officials. Deputies said it is believed the bullet ricocheted and hit several people in their legs: A 26-year-old woman, 43-year-old woman, 30-year-old man, 26 year-old man, 29-year-old man, and 33-year-old man were transported to hospitals with minor injuries, according to deputies. Gonzalez said the man appeared to have been drinking and claims his gun was in his pocket and accidentally went off.
Police charge, arrest driver wanted in connection with fatal hit-and-run in north Houston
HOUSTON โ Charges have been filed against a hit-and-run suspect who was involved in a deadly crash in north Houston Wednesday night, police said. Police, along with the Houston Fire Department, said they responded to reports of the incident at 7100 Airline Dr. at around 7:25 p.m. When officials arrived at the scene, they said they found a manโs body under a vehicle. Palacios changed lanes, accelerated through the intersection and struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene, authorities said. According to police, a witness traveling behind the suspectโs vehicle followed the truck and observed its bumper and license plate fall to the ground.
