One person shot following crash in north Houston, officials say

North Houston – One person is hospitalized following a shooting Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Airline Drive and the 610 North Loop in Houston.

Officers from the Houston Police Department and deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the location just after 2:45 p.m. upon receiving reports of a shooting.

Preliminary information from police says a family was pursuing an alleged stolen vehicle. At some point there was a crash and gunfire erupted. One man was reportedly shot.

No suspect information has been released and police have not confirmed if the shooter is in custody.
