HOUSTONHouston police are investigating a fatal crash involving a man in a wheelchair Friday night in Sunnyside.

The crash was reported around 9:12 p.m. in the 4400 block of Reed Road in Houston, according to police. Investigators believe the striking vehicle was a silver Mazda sedan traveling through the area at the time of the collision.

Police said the driver did not remain at the scene or provide information after the crash. A witness reportedly pointed out the suspected vehicle to officers, and investigators are working to locate the Mazda and identify the driver.

The victim’s name has not been released because he has not been firmly identified, though police said they have spoken with family members and have a general idea of who he is.
