HOUSTON โ A family is hoping police and a reward will help return one of their dogs that was stolen from their yard in broad daylight. Little Girl is an 8 months old American Bully and weighs about 60 pounds. AdOn Saturday, just before noon, Little Girl was stolen. Alma says she and her daughter left 10 minutes before Little Girl was taken to get a collar. The family is offering a large reward for any information on where Little Girl may be.

Houston community invited to celebrate Korean War Veteranโs 89th birthday with parade
HOUSTON โ A Houston veteran is celebrating a special milestone on Saturday and the community is invited. is turning 89 years old on Aug. 8 and everyone is on the invitation list for his socially distanced birthday parade. The 88-year-old served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, is Purple Heart recipient and Korean War veteran. When he was released 33 months later, Houston welcomed him home with a parade on August 10, 1953, two days after his birthday. So itโs fitting Houstonians will parade down the streets for him once more on his 89th birthday on August 8.
Driver fatally struck after being warned about standing on freeway by another driver: Police
HOUSTON โ A driver who was warned by another driver about the danger of standing on the freeway was hit and killed moments later, police said. Police said the incident happened on the East Freeway and Federal at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police said as that witness began to drive off, he heard a loud bang behind him. The person had been fatally struck. Officers said the driver that hit the victim stayed on the scene and is cooperating with them.
FOUND: Police searching for autistic child last seen in east Houston
HOUSTON โ The 13-year-old boy child has been located, according to the Houston Police Department. Officials said Adrien Curcio ran away from his home around 4 a.m. on Saturday in east Houston. He was last seen leaving the 12221 block of Fleming Drive in an unknown direction of travel. The child is autistic and may be nonverbal with strangers, according to HPD. Anyone with information is asked to call HPD at 713-884-3131 or Houston Police Missing Person Division at 832-394-1840.

HOUSTON โ Houston Public Works posted a photo Monday of the โculpritโ responsible for Thursdayโs water main break, which resulted in flooding and a city-wide water boil notice. Crews are replacing the damaged 8-foot pipeline with a new one on Monday. The boil water notice was lifted Saturday morning. A spokeswoman for Mayor Sylvester Turner said it will take crews about a week to complete repairs on the 8-foot water line that feeds water to the city from the Northeast Purification Plant. Man killed while chasing stolen truck in historic east Houston cemetery, police say
HOUSTON โ A man is dead and his adult son is injured after police said he chased down the guys who stole his brand-new truck into an east Houston cemetery Sunday night. According to officers, the man was following three men who had just stolen his pickup truck. Police said the man eventually caught up to the suspects and jumped onto the side of the stolen vehicle. โI am speechless, really speechless at what has happened,โ said Lisa Jedkins, caretaker of Historic Evergreen Cemetery. Why did the water main break in east Houston?
HOUSTON โ Houstonโs aging infrastructure played a factor in the massive water line break in east Houston this week, according to Mayor Sylvester Turner. The 35-year-old water line that ruptured Thursday was still within the range of useability, Turner said. Before the water main break, the city sent a contractor to find and repair the leak, Turner said. While the contractors were on-site exploring the issue, the line burst when the soil around the line was moved. The advisory was lifted Saturday afternoon after the results from 43 water samples concluded that the was not contaminated during the water line break.

HOUSTON โ After an 8-foot diameter water main pipe burst in east Houston Thursday, sparking a days-long boil water advisory, city officials said Saturday it is no longer necessary to boil your water. The City of Houston lifted the boil water notice that has been in place since Thursday, Feb. 27. โI appreciate everyoneโs patience over the past couple of days as Houston Water crews worked to isolate the break and restore water pressure to the city of Houston. I also thank the community for conserving water usage and following the boil water notice,โ Mayor Sylvester Turner said in a release.
