SWAT standoff in East Houston ends after barricaded suspect taken into custody

A SWAT standoff ended peacefully after a man barricaded himself inside a home during a domestic disturbance on Fleming Drive in East Houston.
Houston police say officers were called to the home around 10 a.m. after the man reportedly made threats to his family. When he refused to leave the residence, a SWAT team was deployed to assist with the situation.
The suspect was ultimately taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported, and no shots were fired.
Eyewitness video shared with KPRC 2 captured the tense moments as police worked to secure the scene.
