A survey from C+R Research indicated that package thefts sharply rose from 36% to 43% in 2020, with two-thirds of the respondents saying they had their packages stolen more than once. When it comes to protecting their deliveries, 69% of consumers stayed home to receive deliveries. Other consumers opted for in-store pickup, shopping in-store and requesting signatures for deliveries. The survey used Amazonโ€™s survey platform to screen 2,000 self-reported online consumers who have shopped online within the last 12 months.

HOUSTON โ€“ As coronavirus cases continue to rise in Texas, nearly one-fifth of residents say theyโ€™re less anxious about the cases than they were at the beginning of the pandemic, according to a survey by Rice Universityโ€™s COVID-19 Registry. In Harris County, out of more than 3,100 people, 19% of participants reported a decrease in anxiety, the survey found. About 67% of participants reported the same level of anxiety as they did earlier days in the pandemic and only 14% of the people surveyed reported theyโ€™ve grown more anxious. The survey also revealed that more than 90% of respondents say they are washing their hands more often, avoiding large gatherings and staying six feet away from other people. About 14% of respondents say they are using face masks more often and about 13% of participants said they are no longer limiting outings to essential activities, according to the survey.

According to the survey, Americans have more than $20 billion in unused cards or rewards. โ€œGift cards and store credits are real money, so treat them as such,โ€ said Ted Rossman, an industry analyst at Bankrate.
