In a survey conducted by SatelliteInternet.com, Texas became one of the top RV destinations in the past year, along with Florida, California, New York and Arizona. Thirteen percent of travelers say Texas is their top destination by road this summer. A survey from C+R Research indicated that package thefts sharply rose from 36% to 43% in 2020, with two-thirds of the respondents saying they had their packages stolen more than once. HOUSTON – We all know Houston’s roads can be unpleasant to drive on from uneven pavements to that occasional pothole. A survey from CoPilot and the Federal Highway Administration has Houston ranked 22nd for the worst roads in the country. Rhode Island, California, and New Jersey share the highest percentage of poor urban and rural road conditions. According to the survey, an average of 20-25 percent of major urban roads in Texas are in poor condition. HOUSTON – As coronavirus cases continue to rise in Texas, nearly one-fifth of residents say they’re less anxious about the cases than they were at the beginning of the pandemic, according to a survey by Rice University’s COVID-19 Registry. In Harris County, out of more than 3,100 people, 19% of participants reported a decrease in anxiety, the survey found. About 67% of participants reported the same level of anxiety as they did earlier days in the pandemic and only 14% of the people surveyed reported they’ve grown more anxious. The survey also revealed that more than 90% of respondents say they are washing their hands more often, avoiding large gatherings and staying six feet away from other people. About 14% of respondents say they are using face masks more often and about 13% of participants said they are no longer limiting outings to essential activities, according to the survey.

HOUSTON – HISD is asking for parent feedback as they prepare for the 2020-2021 school year. The survey was first announced last Thursday, which allows parents and teachers a chance to provide feedback on distance learning and possible reopening scenarios once school begins in August. Possible reopening scenarios include face-to-face classes with reduced seating, continuing with distance learning, or hybrid learning. KATY, Texas – Katy Independent School District is asking parents several questions in a survey, including what they want to do this fall semester when schools reopen. The survey asks if parents want to send their children back to school or keep them home and continue online learning? On Monday, Katy ISD parents got a video message from Superintendent Ken Gregorski asking parents to fill out the survey. Gregorski adds, parents, will be able to choose from in-person classes, to online learning, or both. Other parents told KPRC 2 they are OK with the older kids going back.
