Weslaco police investigating fatal stabbing
Weslaco police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning. According to a release, the department responded to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of South Cedro Street about 1 a.m. Saturday. “Weslaco EMS arrived and transported both victims to nearby hospitals, where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries,” a news release from police said. Man’s body found surrounded by cash in northeast Houston cemetery
HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating Tuesday after a man’s body was found surrounded by cash in a northeast Houston cemetery. The body was found by workers at the Golden Gate Cemetery in the 8400 block of Hirsch Road. The man was described as African-American and between 45 and 50 years old. Police said there was no apparent trauma to the man’s body. Investigators said they are trying to determine if a black car that was parked nearby belongs to the victim.
HPD Chief Art Acevedo calls 2020 a ‘perfect storm’ as he reports rise of homicides in city

Man’s body found in Children’s Museum of Houston’s parking garage, police say
HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Children’s Museum of Houston’s parking garage Friday. Police said the man’s body was found on the second floor of the garage located near the 1400 block of Binz Street around 6:12 a.m. According to HPD homicide detectives, a maintenance worker discovered the body. Right now, we have no witnesses and no ID on the male,” said HPD Detective Stark. Investigators said the victim is a man in his 30′s.
Investigation underway after man found stabbed to death in street in Midtown, police say
HOUSTON An investigation is underway after a man was found stabbed to death in the middle of the road in Midtown Thursday night, police said. Police said the incident happened at Sutton Street and Genesee Street at around 11:40 p.m.Officers said they had originally responded to the scene thinking the man had been hit by a car, but after the medical examiner took a look at him, they realized the victim was stabbed five to 10 times in the neck and chest. Police said the victim is a man in his 50s. An investigation into who killed the man is currently underway.
Deputies investigating after person found dead at hotel in N. Harris County: Pct. 4
HOUSTON Precinct 4 deputy constables are investigating a homicide at a hotel in north Harris County Wednesday. Deputies said it happened at the Frontier Inn on the North Freeway near North Vista Drive. Deputies are working the crime scene in the back of the hotel.
