HOUSTON – A woman accused of fatally shooting a man in southwest Houston is wanted by police.

Alma Nely Rico, 25, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the shooting death of Cristino Resendiz Garcia, 23.

On March 9, officers were dispatched around1 p.m. to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 6300 block of West Bellfort Street.

They arrived to find Garcia on a second floor landing of a building. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation identified Rico as the suspect in the shooting. Police said she fled the scene in a dark blue or black BMW 325i with Texas license plates CL7-M877.
