Yarber believes the people responsible set Glover up to steal his 2020 Dodge Charger. โI believe he went to go and meet up with someone and I believe they brought him there under circumstances meant to harm him,โ Yarber said. 'There was nothing we could do': Houston urban farmers devastated by winter storm
People all across Houston and Texas took massive hits during the historic winter storm, and farmers were no exception. Constant Ngouala lost 80 percent of his crop at his Plant It Forward site in Southwest Houston, per the Houston Chronicle's Emma Balter. Thomas Garcia-Prats, operates Finca Tres Robles in Second Ward, an urban farm he says has "very little support or network," according to Balter. Stacey Rousselโs goats had six babies at All We Need in Needville during the winter storm. They've currently raised $120,000 for farmers' relief, but the fund is not designed for crop or animal loss, according to Balter.

HOUSTON A Southwest Houston horse training facility is offering a $2,500 reward to locate their stolen horse. The owners of Solstice Farms along Edwina Boulevard and South Freeway said the theft occurred on May 3. They said the thieves cut through the fencing surrounding the farm and led one of the three horses at the facility out. The horse is described as Chestnut mare, Quarter Horse/Arab, 14.2 hands, blaze, white sock on left hind, according to a stolen horse flier. The owners said the horse named is Jinny and has been with them for more than 13 years.

HOUSTON - A man was killed early Sunday morning during a shooting stemming from a disturbance outside of an after-hours club in Southwest Houston, according to Houston police. The driver of the gray vehicle returned fire, police said. Two men in the parking lot got in a vehicle, which police said was possibly a brown Buick SUV, and chased down the gray vehicle, authorities said. When they caught up to the gray vehicle, more shots were fired and the driver of the gray vehicle was shot in the torso, according to police. During the melee, a woman was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the club, according to police.

HOUSTON - Houston police are searching for Seron Moore, who they think may have fled to California. Moore is accused of abusing a child at a Southwest Houston apartment earlier this year. What happenedPolice said they received a report of possible child abuse from Child Protective Services on Feb. 18. Moore was the caretaker of the child while the child's mother was at work, according to police. Police said Moore abused the child at an apartment in the 6300 block of Rampart Street.

HOUSTON - A man was shot Monday during a home invasion in Southwest Houston, according to police. When officers arrived at a residence in the 3400 block of Tidewater Drive, they found the man with a gunshot wound. Police said initial reports indicate the man was shot during a home invasion. Police said the man was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Police said there was a 4-year-old child inside the house at the time of the shooting.
