HOUSTON – Houston firefighters responded to a fire Wednesday morning at a building in southwest Houston.
The department received several reports of a building fire in the 9300 block of Bissonnet Street.

About 10 emergency units responded to the scene and performed extinguishment effort.
Smoke billowed over the Southwest Freeway as firefighters battled the flames.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area due to heavy emergency equipment.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
