Houston carjacking ends in crash, foot chase, and officer gunfire

Southwest Houston – Investigators said they were called to the incident at Oakmoor and Airport Boulevard in southwest Houston at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Houston police said that the five suspects are accused of stealing a man’s car at gunpoint and then crashing a short time later.

Investigators said two people were taken into custody and the other three suspects took off running.

Officers said that one of the young men was accused of pointing a gun at an officer. The officer fired his gun but did not hit the young man.

All five suspects were ultimately taken into police custody according to HPD.
