HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was found dead inside an apartment in the northern part of the county after her family reported to apartment management that they hadn’t been able to make contact with her for several days.

It happened at 905 Cypress Station. Deputies were called around 5:30 p.m. after they were contacted by management of the complex.

It was reported to deputies that a family called apartment management and said they hadn’t been able to reach their daughter in several days. When the apartment management entered the apartment, they found the woman dead inside.
Sgt. Jason Brown with the sheriff’s office homicide division says the woman had suffered severe trauma and that right now, it is being investigated as a homicide. However, there was no forced entry into the apartment.
Brown says there are no obvious suspects at this time and the woman had been dead for some time, but not more than a few days. An autopsy will be conducted.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video to try and get a better idea of what may have happened. They are also speaking to family members to try and learn more information about the woman.
