The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said the incident happened around 2 p.m. in the 4000 block of Swinden Drive near Veterans Memorial Drive. Investigators said the driver was attacked by three armed men, who shot him and stole his white Chevy Malibu. The men are described as one Black man and two Hispanic men, according to authorities. HOUSTON – A BMW driver who led Houston police officers on a chase early Sunday was arrested after crashing into a pole, firing at an officer and running from the crash scene on foot, authorities said. At some point during the chase, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole. When an officer approached the disabled vehicle, the driver fired multiple rounds in his direction. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. A short pursuit ensued before the officer took the suspect into custody.

HOUSTON – A driver is in custody after police said he returned to the scene of a deadly hit-and-run in southeast Houston Wednesday. Police said they found the victim, who has been identified as a man in his 50′s, laying along Reed Road near Rockford Drive around 12:23 a.m. Officers said he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, the driver called a family member when he got home saying he believed he hit someone. Police said he was told to return to the scene, where he was detained. Investigators said charges against the man are pending.

HOUSTON – Deputies are investigating after they said an Uber Eats driver found a man’s dead body at an apartment complex Monday. Deputies said the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Cypress Creek EMS responded after the driver found the body at an apartment complex located at 905 Cypress Station near Rustyleaf Lane at around 12:45 a.m. According to investigators that were at the scene, the Uber Eats driver found an unresponsive black male with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the apartment complex by the dumpster. Deputies said there isn’t any suspect info or known motive. Deputies said they are hoping to find clues on nearby surveillance video.

HOUSTON – One man is dead and two others injured following a fiery, multi-vehicle crash in northeast Harris County Saturday night. Around 10 p.m. Saturday, Harris County deputies and firefighters responded to a report of a wreck in the 8700 block of FM 1960 E, near the intersection of FM 1960 E and Atascocita Shores Drive in northeast Houston. Upon impact, the Tundra rotated counterclockwise and came to rest in the grass in the southwest corner of the intersection. HOUSTON – A suspected drunk driver is in custody after deputies said he crashed right into the side of a home's garage in Alief. Deputies said the incident happened just after 3 a.m. on Birchaven and Westknoll, not far from Beechnut. Officers said no one was injured in the crash. MIRAMAR, Fla. – Friends and family have identified the UPS truck driver who was killed in a shootout between police and the suspects who held him hostage, reports KPRC 2 partner WPLG. Friends identified the 27-year-old victim in Thursday afternoon’s shootout as Frank Ordonez. The FBI said four people, including the UPS driver, were killed after robbers stole the driver's truck and led police on a chase that ended in gunfire in Miramar. It was not immediately clear who fired the shots that killed the UPS driver or the bystander. “We are deeply saddened that UPS service provider Frank Ordonez passed away from a senseless act of violence on Dec. 5, 2019,” UPS said in a statement.

BROOKSHIRE, Texas – The driver of an 18-wheeler was killed Friday when he was ejected during a crash near Brookshire, according to authorities. Officials said the driver struck a barrier on I-10, near Peach Ridge Road, on the passenger side of his truck. The vehicle ended up in a body of water near the freeway. Officials said the crash happened around 3 p.m. The truck was eastbound on the freeway, heading toward Houston, officials said.
