5 Big Takeaways: No. 16 Grand Oaks moves to 4-0 behind 69-10 victory

16 Grand Oaks has been impressive throughout its debut season as a football program but not just that but doing it at the Class 6A level. Grand Oaks is 4-0 in its first varsity season. A lot of people didn't know how Grand Oaks would fair in its debut season but so far so good. Through its first four games, Grand Oaks is averaging an impressive 61.25 points per game. The way Grand Oaks runs its offense, which is a triple-option, he is always elusive no matter which way the play is going.

THE RANKINGS: Volleyball power players coming into focus

As Klein and Friendswood remain constants, the rest of the volleyball landscape in Houston is a little bumpy. The Woodlands lost back-to-back matches last week to St. Agnes and Klein, allowing for Seven Lakes, Dawson and George Ranch to gain ground in the Top 5. Grand Oak moves back into the Class 6A Top 10. 1 but just lost to Episcopal. However, St. Agnes beat Episcopal during the same round-robin.

THE RANKINGS: Cy-Fair, Clear Falls, FBCA trending upward

The top teams stayed put in each classification but there was some movement in the Class 6A rankings. Cy-Fair, Clear Falls and Cypress Ranch move into the rankings as Grand Oaks, Brazoswood and Kingwood are bounced out of the Top 10. VYPE whipped together this preview to get cross country fans ready for the 2020 season. These are the top runners and teams for Public School Boys Cross Country. When you look at a team that finished 16th overall at state last year but brings back everyone, that excites you.
