The security of our children,โ exclaimed Harvey Wolff, a parent of two students enrolled in Pearland High School. Yet, despite what they allege were obvious intentions among the group, parents said the administration at Pearland High School didnโt act soon enough. KPRC 2 received a response from the school district Friday afternoon, confirming the clothing violated the dress code. โPer the Pearland ISD dress code, apparel or accessories which include cultural divisiveness and racial intolerance may not be worn. โThatโs what started that whole dress code revolution, which is great," said Melissa Wilson, a parent.

Pearland sends Oilers off to state championship game
PEARLAND, Texas โ The final day of finals week was put on hold at Pearland High School Friday. Hundreds of residents and students gathered outside "The Rig" to send the Oilers off to the 5A Division I State Championship. "It's a very exciting moment," said Oilers receiver Jacoby Lewis. "It humbles me to know how much pride Pearland has in their football team, their school and their kids," said Oilers head coach Tony Heath. "We know we've got 48 minutes of business to take care of.
Teens accused of dealing drugs to students
HOUSTON โ Police have arrested two teens accused of dealing drugs to Friendswood and Pearland High School students. On Tuesday, police carried out a search warrant at a home just across the Friendswood city limits in Brazoria County. Friendswood police, along with Brazoria County sheriff's deputies, stopped the two men as they left the home. Investigators said the house is only a couple of miles away from Friendswood High school. "I know the high school is close by, it happened right under your nose and you don't even know it," Price said.
