Cameron County officials and other law enforcement authorities will resume searching Thursday morning for a newborn baby believed to be dead. The internet search giant has worked on a product that promises to warn parents before their little one has even woken up. Using video streaming, audio recordings and AI, the device would monitor the baby's behavior against a database of normal patterns. Based on the infant's movements and any noise it makes, it would detect anything out of character and subsequently issue an alert if the baby appears uncomfortable. An alert could be issued before the baby cries or even wakes up, according to the patent, which was first reported by CNBC. The patent filing states: "While a baby's cry may alert his parents to the baby being in distress, sometimes a baby will not audibly indicate his distress.

But according to a recent warning from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), parents should avoid giving their infants teething bracelets, necklaces or other jewelry marketed for relieving tooth pain. Eva Love, M.D., of Cleveland Clinic Children’s, said there are better alternatives for relieving infant teething discomfort. In addition to the potentially life-threatening dangers of teething jewelry, Love said these products can also lead to trauma to the mouth or mouth infections. Love also said it’s best to avoid using medications or topical gels for teething, which are also not recommended.

The recall affects certain My Ride 65 convertible seats made on July 22, 2014 with a code of 2014/06 on a tag that's on the webbing. Documents posted Wednesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say that agency tests discovered the webbing strength problem. Graco traced the problem to a single batch of webbing. Graco says in documents that it will notify owners and dealers will provide a replacement harness free of charge.
