WeeSprout recalls baby sleep sacks due to choking hazard

HOUSTON – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers about the WeeSprout baby sleep sack, which has been recalled due to a danger it poses to children.

WeeSprout said consumers should immediately stop using the baby sleep sack, which was sold in newborn sizes through 36 months, and came in an array of colors.

The company said the zipper can be detached from the sleep sack, which poses a choking hazard.

If you have one of the sleepers, you are asked to cut it in half with a pair of scissors, take a photo of it and then discard it in the trash.
