Harris County meteorologist Jeff Lindner spoke to KPRC 2โฒs Brittany Jeffers on Tuesday morning with the latest on the wintry weather in the area. โSo I think the point is, weโve kind of made it about halfway through this whole event,โ Lindner said. And now weโre going to start easing up on the cold a little bit, (but itโs) still below freezing, but easing up on these extreme temperatures. You know, my own house, where my wife and kids are at, has been out since yesterday morning with no power and water. We have been incredibly fortunate so far that we have not had a lot of accidents.

HOUSTON โ Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo held a news conference Monday afternoon to urge residents to prepare for Tropical Storm Beta. Hidalgo was joined by other Harris County officials including meteorologist and Director of Flood Operations, Jeff Lindner. โAt any moment, anywhere in Harris County, we could see heavy rain and possibly flooding," Hidalgo said. The Harris County Emergency Operation Center is activated to a level three, which is increased readiness. High-water traffic maps, maps of bayou levels and rainfall amounts are available at ReadyHarris.org, among many other sources, Hidalgo said.
