Half-naked man arrested after chase ends in standoff in north Houston, deputies say
HOUSTON – Authorities said a man who surrendered half-naked after an hours-long standoff and chase is now in custody. Deputies said the incident happened Wednesday in the parking lot behind a hotel along the North Freeway and Parker Road. 2 suspects in custody after police say assault suspect fled scene leading to chase through Katy area
HOUSTON – Two suspects are in custody Tuesday afternoon after Houston police responded to a reported assault and one suspect fled the scene in a car. Police chased the woman through the Katy area for about 25 minutes. A man and woman were at the scene, along with two victims who reported that they’d been pistol-whipped, Lummus said. The man she was with was also taken into custody and faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. Police say when authorities arrived, the male suspect threw the firearm over a fence but authorities have since recovered it.

HOUSTON – Two women riding in the back of an Uber are dead after police said a pursuit suspect crashed into the car they were in, going over 100 mph. Police said the driver they believe is responsible is now facing felony murder charges. According to police, they were chasing a vehicle after a driver, who has been identified as 45-year-old Brian Okeith Tatum, reportedly ran a red light. Police said the pursuit came to an end when Tatum crashed into an Uber driver in a silver Honda and killed the two women sitting in the back seats. The Uber driver was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in unknown condition and the suspect was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

HOUSTON – A motorcyclist is dead after he led deputies on a high-speed chase Tuesday, deputies said. Deputies said the chase came to an end on Mills Road and FM 1960 after the man ran a red light and crashed into a woman’s car. According to deputies, the rider was going about 100 mph when he struck a 70-year-old woman's car, sending it into a pole. The woman is being treated for minor injuries but the motorcyclist died at the scene, deputies said. (NBC) – A runaway ambulance, driven by a suspect, wound its way Friday night through busy streets in Philadelphia, NBC 10 Philadelphia reports. The chase finally ended in Northeast Philadelphia after he evaded officers throughout numerous neighborhoods there. At one point, the suspect drove the ambulance through a gas station, squeezed through several police cruisers and slammed into another vehicle before again making a getaway down Frankford Avenue. As police officers approached, he opened the door and one officer may have Tased the suspect. But a second later, the suspect closed the door and drove off again.

HOUSTON – A Houston police cruiser caught fire and flipped early Friday morning during a chase on the city’s east side. Bruce said the officer tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away and the officer gave chase. Bruce said about three minutes into the chase, the officer’s cruiser hit a pothole and caught fire. The officer lost control of the cruiser, and the vehicle flipped onto its side, Bruce said. Bruce said the driver that prompted the chase is still being sought.

HOUSTON – A wanted man was arrested early Friday after a chase that included another person bailing out of a vehicle with a baby in their arms, according to police. The chase started about 2 a.m. near the West Sam Houston Parkway and Beechnut Street. Officers gave chase. The chase eventually ended on Briarhills Parkway near the Energy Corridor where officers had to use a Taser to take the combative driver into custody, police said. 1 arrested after motorcycle leads authorities on high-speed chase
HOUSTON – Authorities spent Thursday night searching for a motorcyclist who led them on a chase. The chase began just before 6 p.m. on U.S. Highway 59 near Will Clayton Parkway after authorities attempted a traffic stop. By 6:45 p.m., the motorcycle driver had parked the motorcycle in the parking lot of a hotel near 59 and Kingwood Drive. It appeared the motorcycle driver may have fled the scene on foot, and authorities appeared to be establishing a perimeter in the area. By 7:30 p.m., officials said the motorcyclist had been taken into custody.
