HOUSTON – A man who robbed a gas station in northwest Harris County Wednesday and led deputies on a high-speed chase was arrested, Harris County sheriff’s deputies said. District 5 deputies said a Circle K Gas Station in the 9000 block of Jones Road was robbed by a suspect armed with a gun. Deputies said they located the suspect with the help of a 3SI tracker, which was inside the bag of stolen money. When deputies tried to pull over the suspect, investigators said he hit the gas and led deputies on a high-speed chase, at times reaching speeds over 140 miles per hour. After he attempted to flee on foot, deputies said the suspect was caught and taken into custody.

Deputies said the incident happened Wednesday in the parking lot behind a hotel along the North Freeway and Parker Road. The man she was with was also taken into custody and faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. The Uber driver was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in unknown condition and the suspect was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
