Census Bureau to proceed with nationwide test of citizenship question

A New York Judge in early July allowed a lawsuit challenging the planned inclusion of a citizenship question in the next US Census to move forward amid "strong" evidence the Trump administration acted in bad faith, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood said in a statement.
A New York Judge in early July allowed a lawsuit challenging the planned inclusion of a citizenship question in the next US Census to move forward amid "strong" evidence the Trump administration acted in bad faith, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood said in a statement.

The Census Bureau said Friday that it will move forward with plans to test a citizenship question in a nationwide survey this summer, while federal courts weigh the legality of the question. Read more >
