HOUSTON – “If they can give him prison, give him prison,” that is what David Zuniga told KPRC 2 Investigates reporter Mario Diaz on Wednesday morning. Mark Aguirre and held at gunpoint in a bogus voter-fraud conspiracy incident on Oct 19. Zuniga said Aguirre faked an injury immediately after the incident to draw Zuniga closer. “Very, very close, because when I saw him unlock the safety I thought, ‘He is going to shoot me,’” Zuniga said. Attorney Jared Woodfill, of the Liberty Center, told KPRC 2 Investigates, the head of the Liberty Center, Dr. Steven Hotze, “had hired Mark Aguirre’s investigation firm” and he had a team of approximately 20 investigators looking into potential election fraud in Harris County.

Some people are saying Houston is rapidly returning to its old ways of the 80′s -- a city filled with homicides. Homicide statistics have been under the microscope as of late because of the recent rash of homicides in the city combined with Monday’s shooting death of Houston police Sgt. At a news conference following the shooting, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said: “It is another rough day. This has been a rough year.”HPD numbers show homicides in Houston are on the brink of 350. The statistics are rapidly approaching the most since 377 were recorded in 2005.

HOUSTON – Charges were not pursued against “Elbert Manzano” after a pair of incidents that preceded Tuesday’s shooting that killed one officer and wounded another, according to documents obtained by KPRC 2 Investigates from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Houston Police Department. According to an intake disposition report from an incident on Monday, the prosecutors were examining the offense as a “terrorisric threat,” which is how it was written in the report. He did not dive into the facts surrounding the situation and the lack of charges.

“Somebody in New Jersey called into Social Security and said he had died,” said Ginger Fine, Bob Fine’s wife of 31 years. '”Bob Fine went to the bank the next morning and was told that the Social Security Administration had reclaimed their money. The Fines said the problem is still not corrected and they haven’t received one of Bob’s Social Security checks since. “I’m a firm believer in that.”“Somebody with a name similar to mine and a Social Security number typo,” Bob said. Not only have Bob Fine’s Social Security checks stopped coming in, but his Medicare policy has also been canceled because of his “death.” Now he has no health insurance.

HOUSTON – A Waller County Grand Jury declined to indict any county jail employees in the case of Sandra Bland's death, KPRC 2 News has learned. "We are not going to allow what they have done in a limited, secret capacity to prevent us from doing what we need to do to get answers for the family," Bland family attorney Cannon Lambert said Monday night. There are other indictments the grand jury is considering, but the county would not go into detail. Bland was found dead in a Waller County Jail cell on July 13, three days after she was arrested during a traffic stop. Waller County prosecutors said the medical examiner found no injuries consistent with struggle.

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a photo of a veterinarian holding a feral cat she allegedly shot and killed with a bow and arrow went viral. The Austin County Sheriff's Office told KPRC 2 News an investigation is now underway. Misty Acton uses Washington Animal Clinic. The Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham confirms Lindsey had been a veterinarian there for the last two years. Bruce Buenger owns Washington Animal Clinic.
