Law enforcement has not previously disclosed that Woods had been unconscious following the collision. โHappy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery,โ Woods said in a tweet posted Tuesday night. Woods thanked the medical staff at both hospitals for taking care of him. โI will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day,โ Woods said in the statement. The challenge coordinated offers by celebrities and athletes to raise funds to feed those in need during the pandemic.
Heard any Biden jokes? Study of late-night comics finds few
A staggering 97% of the jokes Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon told about the candidates in September targeted President Donald Trump, a study released Monday found. That's 455 jokes about Trump and 14 about Democrat Joe Biden, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University. That doesn't even count 64 jokes made about Trump's family or administration, the study said. It may present a real challenge for the comics if Biden defeats Trump in next month's election, however. In 2001, late-night comedians made former President Bill Clinton the subject of more jokes than his successor, George W. Bush, Lichter said.

Lucille Ball Comedy Festival goes virtual in its 29th year
LOS ANGELES The annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival is going virtual with help from Tiffany Haddish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Margaret Cho, Weird Al Yankovic and more than two-dozen others working in the realm of humor. The festival, presented by the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, New York, will stream conversations with the artists over three weekends, starting Friday and running through Aug. 30. Other pairings include Cho with host and fellow comedian Judy Gold (10 p.m. EDT Friday); Haddish with comedian Flame Monroe (8 p.m. EDT Aug. 22); political satirist Mark Russell with Lewis Black (8 p.m. EDT Aug. 28). The 29th annual festival will pay tribute to Carl Reiner, the filmmaker and creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show who died in June. A rare Reiner interview from the center's archives will be shown at 8 p.m. EDT Aug. 30, with humorist Paula Poundstone hosting.

The NBC late-night host returned to NBC's Rockefeller Center headquarters Monday, saying he hoped he could provide his audience with a little more normal during the coronavirus pandemic. I'm here to show you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel if we keep each other safe, Fallon said. Fallon, along with other late-night hosts, have been working remotely the past few months of months. Andrew Cuomo and Charlize Theron, weren't in the studio as the celebrity interviews continued remotely.
Fey asks to pull '30 Rock' episodes that featured blackface
NEW YORK At the request of co-creator Tina Fey, four episodes of the comedy 30 Rock are being removed from circulation because they featured characters performing in blackface. The series aired on NBC from 2006 to 2013, but episodes are still being shown in television syndication and on streaming services including Hulu, Amazon Prime, iTunes and Peacock. Two of the four eliminated 30 Rock episodes originally aired in 2010, with the others first shown in 2008 and 2010. They include the East Coast version of an episode first shown live. Fallon, who did not appear in such makeup on 30 Rock, apologized last month after online circulation of an earlier Saturday Night Live skit where he wore blackface to impersonate Chris Rock.
