CBS' Brown to host record 10th Super Bowl pregame show
(AP Photo/Bill Wippert, File)CBS' James Brown knows what it is like to host Super Bowl pregame shows when the day transcended beyond the teams competing for a championship. Brown hosted Fox's pregame for the 2002 Super Bowl, which occurred nearly five months after 9/11. With the coronavirus pandemic still at the forefront, Brown realizes Sunday's โSuper Bowl Todayโ show could offer the same opportunities, but in a different manner. This is a different kind of backdrop where many people have just been fatigued, given all of the challenges that weโve had to endure during this time.โAdThis will be a record 10th Super Bowl pregame hosted by Brown and his sixth for CBS. He became the pregame host for Fox in 1994 when they outbid CBS for the rights to the NFC package.
NFL, TV partners navigating pandemic and future rights deals

They have been gathering multi-channel surround audio recordings from every NFL stadium for use in their productions over the past four seasons. Dont doubt the NFL is going to use this as leverage.PRESEASON MAKEUPS: The league will allow stations that have preseason broadcast rights with teams to re-air regular-season games in their markets. Usually, replays are only available on NFL Network or NFL Game Pass. The biggest change in the upcoming rights deals could be Monday nights returning to ABC and ESPN going for the Thursday night games.

CBS pushing for players to do their part to boost broadcast
FORT WORTH, Texas FORT WORTH, TexasJim Nantz will be alone in the broadcast booth when the PGA Tour resumes its schedule Thursday. In announcing the broadcast and productions plans for the return to golf, CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said the network would have what Nantz dubbed a confession cam." McManus also said the network has been working more aggressively to have players wear microphones, and that CBS already has received commitments from some players. If you had a chance to hear from 30 players in the field, you can't imagine what a difference that could make to our broadcast. And he'll be calling action at an event with no spectators, a policy of the PGA Tour for five straight tournaments until the Memorial on July 16-19.
