Apparent road rage caught on camera: 43-year-old man smashes teen's mirror

KATY, Texas – A 43-year-old Katy man accused of damaging a teenager's vehicle during a fit of road-rage earlier this month posted bond after turning himself in Wednesday.

Deputies said Randu Salgado is facing assault and criminal mischief charges.

The teenager told police that Salgado became enraged when he was unable to pass his vehicle in the emergency lane during a traffic jam on Feb. 1.

Salgado started aggressively tailgating the teen, who started recording the incident on his phone, according to authorities.

Salgado then sped alongside the teen's vehicle and smashed the side-view mirror with an unknown object, investigators said.

When the two drivers pulled into a parking lot near Barker Cypress Road, instead of exchanging information, Salgado punched the teen and drove away, authorities said.

The teen also suffered a cut to his arm in the attack, according to authorities.
